Between continuous exterior insulation and a fully insulated stud wall, our above-ground walls have a nominal R-Value of 72 and an effective R-value of 53. Our below-ground foundation walls are constructed using Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) and a layer of continuous EPS Foam insulation for an effective R-value of 45.

Our double-height porch is structurally-self supported, ensuring a thermal-bridge free design.

The Carriage House (apartment over garage) on the east side of the property is not Phius certified, but will achieve DOE Zero Energy Ready certification. While the ground-level garage will be constructed with conventional framing, the residential unit on the upper floor will be constructed with Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs).

The windows are a combination of tilt-turn and casement, but are all triple-pane with an average U-value of 0.13.
